A rescue operation by the Mountain Rescue Service took place among the ridges of the Pizzocolo, in the municipality of Toscolano Maderno, to recover four stranded hikers. The group, located at an altitude of about 900 meters, had strayed off the trail in the area of the Sanico wall. Despite the beauty of the location, which is often frequented by climbing enthusiasts, the lack of proper equipment and preparation can lead to risky situations.
Following the emergency alert, a team of five technicians promptly intervened to secure the first two hikers and then continued to rescue the other two, who were trapped in a difficult-to-reach spot. The operation concluded around 11:00 PM with the teams safely returning to the valley.
