A thick bank of fog created serious difficulties for two fishermen in the Garda area, forcing them to call for help while aboard their vessel. Visibility had dropped below 5 meters, making their return to shore complicated. After contacting the operations center of the Coast Guard in Salò, the fishermen were quickly reached by a patrol boat from the unit, which was already engaged in surveillance and training activities.
Upon arrival at the scene, the operators assessed the health conditions of the two men and escorted them back to the departure port, located about 2 miles from the site of the incident. The timely intervention ensured the safety of the fishermen in a potentially hazardous situation.
