Yesterday, Thursday, December 5th, four hikers were rescued on Monte Pizzocolo, in the area of Toscolano Maderno. The intervention became necessary after the group lost the trail at an altitude of about 900 meters, near the Sanico wall. Once the alert was received, the operators of the Valle Sabbia station of the Alpine Rescue sprang into action to locate and reach the hikers.
After locating the first two members of the group, the rescuers faced a challenging situation to retrieve the other two, who were trapped in a more difficult area. All four hikers were brought back to safety in the evening hours without sustaining any significant injuries.
