Recent developments in Desenzano del Garda have highlighted the issue of resident parking on via Cavour, with members of the Democratic Party raising questions about the actions of the local administration. During an interpellation, Councillor Bernardo Comini recalled that, following an increase in paid parking fees decided in April 2023, Councillor Medioli had promised to reserve some yellow parking spaces for residents. However, nearly two years later, citizens have yet to see these promises fulfilled.
Colleague Palmerini expressed concern regarding the administration’s handling of the situation, emphasizing that the changes made to parking fees and management have not been accompanied by a clear plan. Both councillors hope that the interpellation can reactivate the process for creating new parking spaces reserved for residents and are seeking clarification on the timing and methods for implementing the promises made.
