Tignale: Access Ban Lifted for the Shoreline The cleanup operations in the Prà dela Fam area, within the municipality of Tignale, have been successfully completed. This intervention was initiated following the discovery of three explosive devices in the waters off the shoreline, reported over two weeks ago. The Army’s bomb disposal experts and the Navy’s mine clearance unit recovered the devices, which were located approximately 20 meters deep, in order to proceed with their detonation.
Following the conclusion of these operations, Mayor Daniele Bonassi has lifted the ordinance from January 21 that mandated the suspension of navigation and prohibited swimming, scuba diving, fishing, and access to the land area. The lifting of the access ban now allows for a return to normalcy for both residents and tourists in the area.
