A significant cultural event will take place in Riva del Garda on February 22, when the Luna e Gnac Teatro company will present the show “Alfonsina Strada. A Race for Emancipation” at the Conservatory auditorium. The performance, which will begin at 9 PM, tells the extraordinary story of Alfonsina Morini Strada, the only woman to participate in the Giro d’Italia in 1924, challenging the social conventions of her time and facing the difficulties of a society dominated by male thought.
The show, directed by Michele Eynard and featuring Federica Molteni, offers a glimpse into Alfonsina’s life, raised in a rural context at the beginning of the twentieth century, where cycling was reserved solely for men. Tickets are available at a cost of 12 euros for full admission, with discounts for young people and seniors. Pre-sales will be active until 8 PM on the day of the performance, with the box office opening at the theater at 8 PM.
