The mayor of Riva del Garda, Cristina Santi, has reaffirmed her intention to remain in office until the natural expiration of her term, prioritizing the approval of the municipal budget. In a recent statement on social media, Santi emphasized the significance of this act to ensure the continuation of investments related to the PNRR and to prevent the administration from being handed over to a commissioner. The council has already unanimously approved the budget, which will now be discussed in the Council.
Regarding her future political intentions, the mayor stated that she will focus on completing her current work and that any considerations regarding a possible re-election will be made thoughtfully in the coming weeks. Santi remarked, “I am here to finish the work until the natural expiration of my term as my duty,” implying that decisions concerning the city’s political future will be made with seriousness and careful consideration.
