A road accident involving a cyclist occurred in the center of Gavardo yesterday afternoon, Monday, March 10, around 3 PM. The 59-year-old man was struck by a car while he was in Piazza Guglielmo Marconi; the driver of the vehicle was heading towards Villanuova when she hit the cyclist, who was violently thrown onto the asphalt. Emergency services and local police were immediately alerted and quickly arrived to provide assistance.
The volunteers from Nuvolento administered first aid to the cyclist, who fortunately sustained only minor injuries and was transported to Gavardo hospital in green code. Officers from the Valle Sabbia Command are investigating the circumstances of the accident and have managed traffic in the area, which experienced inevitable delays due to the incident.
