A serious road accident occurred today, Tuesday, January 14, around 2:30 PM on the Provinciale 78 road, in the area of Lonato. The incident involved four people following a head-on collision between two vehicles, with a particularly violent impact that necessitated the intervention of several emergency services, including a helicopter ambulance that took off from Brescia. The condition of at least one of the individuals involved was reported to be critical, requiring transport in red code to the Civil Hospital.
The fire department intervened to rescue one of the occupants who was trapped in the wreckage. According to information from the Regional Emergency Agency (Areu), two people were rescued in yellow code and another two in red code. Further updates on the condition of the injured and details about the incident are currently awaited.
