This morning at 6:45 AM, a bear was struck by a car along the western Gardesana road in Vezzano, within the municipality of Vallelaghi. The driver reported that a female bear with three cubs suddenly appeared on the road, leading to the collision with one of the cubs. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed.
Immediately following the incident, emergency and safety teams were dispatched. The canine unit of the Trentino Forestry Corps later confirmed that the animals had moved away into the woods, allowing for the area affected by the incident to be secured. This episode once again highlights the risks associated with the coexistence of wildlife and road traffic in the region.
