This morning, along the Forra Road in Tremosine, an operation was conducted to blast a rocky outcrop on the SP38, as reported by the Province of Brescia. This second blast, which was of lesser magnitude than the one carried out on February 7, aimed to remove a smaller boulder that posed a potential risk to road safety. The work continues in preparation for securing the tunnel and the cliff, with the goal of reopening the road before the start of the tourist season.
In the coming days, thorough monitoring is scheduled to ensure the structural stability of the area through sensors placed both inside and outside the tunnel. If no issues arise, the work will commence soon and will include the internal arching of the tunnel and the installation of tie rods on the outer cliff. The intent remains to allow the reopening of the SP38 in time for the Easter holidays.
