The FIDAL committee of Brescia has re-elected president Rolando Perri for the 2024-2028 term, securing 808 votes out of 828 during the assembly held at the Acli hall in Sanpolino. Perri will be joined by five council members, including three re-elected and two new entries: Laura Avigo, Angelo Vecchi, Enrico Bregoli, Pierluigi Panigada, and Laura Ponsetto. The attending authorities praised the work done by the previous group and expressed their readiness to support the committee’s new initiatives.
In his speech, Perri outlined future goals, emphasizing the importance of involving Brescia’s clubs in the committee’s activities and developing new projects that could bring athletics from Brescia into the national spotlight. Among the priorities is the construction of a new Pala Indoor, which could become a federal center for sprinting. Additionally, the youth grand prix events will be maintained, and social and marketing activities will be enhanced to promote athletics at all levels. On the same day, the elective assembly for the provincial representative of the Judges Group also took place, resulting in the election of Simonetta Chiti.
