Two female students were involved in school-related accidents following the return from vacation in the province of Brescia, marking a difficult start to the new school year. The main incident occurred in Rovato on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, 2025, when a 15-year-old girl was struck while crossing at a pedestrian crossing. Similar incidents were later reported in Desenzano and Salò; in Desenzano, a 14-year-old student was hit at the entrance of the “Bazoli-Polo” school complex, while in Salò, an 18-year-old was struck by a vehicle on Via Zane.
Both girls were promptly assisted and transported to the hospital under yellow code, with the first taken to Desenzano Hospital and the second to Poliambulanza in Brescia. Fortunately, their conditions are not a cause for concern. These events highlight the importance of road safety, especially near schools, to ensure the protection of students during arrival and dismissal times.
