Safety measures continue along the SP 38 in Tremosine sul Garda, where today a controlled detonation was carried out on a second rocky outcrop. This operation follows the controlled explosion on February 7, which involved a larger boulder. Today’s action removed a smaller block that posed a potential hazard to traffic, preventing significant damage to the road.
In the coming days, technicians will continue to monitor the situation using sensors placed both inside and outside the tunnel to ensure structural stability. If no critical issues are detected, the first phase of the works will commence, which includes the arching of the tunnel’s interior and the installation of bolts and ties on the external cliff face. The Province of Brescia hopes to reopen the SP 38 in time for the start of the new tourist season during the Easter holidays, while further interventions are planned for the autumn to consolidate the area.
