Strada della Forra, Tremosine: no issues reported from monitoring, aiming for reopening by Easter. After nearly ten months of monitoring, positive results have emerged regarding the safety measures for the SP38 of Forra. The inspections conducted have not detected any movements within the tunnel or instability from the sensors installed on the cliff. During a meeting with provincial councilor Paolo Fontana and the mayor of Tremosine, Battista Girardi, strategies for the road’s reopening were discussed.
Among the priority actions is the blasting of a large rock outcrop that overlooks the tunnel, scheduled to take place within two weeks. Concurrently, further work is being planned, which will include external anchoring and internal capping of the tunnel. The president of the Province, Emanuele Moraschini, emphasized the importance of restoring access to alleviate the difficulties faced by residents and local businesses. The mayor expressed the intention to make the road accessible by Easter, highlighting the significant economic impact of the closure on the community.
