The tourism on Lake Garda is gearing up for a new challenge, targeting the Brazilian market with a promotional mission planned for 2025. The Garda Lombardia Consortium, which represents 23 municipalities in the area, has decided to invest in promoting tourism in Brazil, drawn by the growth potential for travel to European destinations. Marco Girardi, the consortium’s president, emphasized the enthusiasm shown by Brazilian tourists during the past season and the significance of São Paulo as a hub for reaching affluent clientele.
The strategy includes an initial direct contact with local travel agencies and planning visits to the area by Brazilian operators in the spring. At the same time, the consortium will not overlook traditional markets and will participate in trade fairs in Germany and the Netherlands in the coming months. With this initiative, the aim is to diversify tourist flows and attract new visitors to the picturesque setting of Lake Garda.
