An incident of squatting has shaken Salò in recent days, when a 55-year-old man returned home to find his residence occupied by a family of foreigners. The incident occurred while the resident had briefly stepped out to go to the tobacconist; upon his return, he discovered that some individuals had entered his apartment by taking advantage of the keys left outside the door.
Alerted by his dog’s barking, the man found an entire family consisting of parents and two children, who had forced their way in despite the door being locked from the inside. Instead of contacting the authorities, the 55-year-old chose to confront the situation directly, and after a discussion with the occupants, he managed to get them to leave the premises without further complications.
