A new project aimed at environmental protection has been launched in San Felice del Benaco, called “Adopt a Tree.” This initiative, promoted by the Center for Spirituality of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, seeks to revitalize a currently uncultivated plot of land through the planting of trees, such as olive and cypress trees, along with the sowing of lavender plants and the creation of beehives to support the threatened bee population. Everything produced will be donated to those in need residing in the Valtènesi area.
Anyone wishing to participate can adopt a tree, a lavender plant, or a beehive, thus helping to create a public green space that is also a protected area for bees. The maintenance of the area will be entrusted to the friars of the Sanctuary and volunteers. Registrations can be made at the Pilgrim’s Hall or via bank transfer to the Monte Carmelo Association. This project represents not only a concrete gesture for the environment but also an act of solidarity towards those in difficulty, promoting a culture of respect and sharing with nature.
