The recent waves of bad weather that have hit Lake Garda continue to cause significant disruption, with landslides and flooding affecting several areas along the Lombard, Venetian, and Trentino shores. Among the hardest-hit areas, San Felice del Benaco has experienced new landslides that have led to the closure of the beach and the lake area between Punta del Corno and Baia del Vento.
Closure of the Beach
During inspections carried out by municipal technical staff, a dangerous “debris flow” was identified, which affected part of the lakeside walkway. Following these assessments, the municipality issued an ordinance prohibiting passage in both directions in the affected area. The decision was made to ensure public safety until optimal conditions are restored.
Closure of Via San Procolo
In addition to the beach closure, the municipality of San Felice has also announced the closure of traffic on Via San Procolo. The heavy rains have caused landslides along this road, requiring an immediate intervention to restore safe traffic flow. Work is currently underway to reopen the road with alternating traffic as soon as possible.
