Weekend Appointment with the 101st Coppa San Geo, one of the most anticipated events in Brescia’s cycling scene, which will take place on Saturday, February 22. The competition will start in Ponte San Marco and finish in Padenghe, traversing the morainic hinterland of Lake Garda. This event, part of the national road cycling calendar and reserved for Elite and Under-23 categories, features a challenging course of 164.650 kilometers, to be tackled in seven laps. The race is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM, with the finish expected around 4:30 PM.
During the event’s presentation held on February 14 at the Sullivan Hotel in Ponte San Marco, several institutional representatives attended, including the mayors of Calcinato and Padenghe. The organizing team expressed optimism regarding participation, despite the absence of some historical teams. However, riders from about twenty countries will ensure a competitive field. This edition marks the return of the race to Padenghe after significant years in the history of local cycling.
