The school calendar for the year 2024/2025 has been defined by the Province of Trento and applies to first and second cycle educational institutions, preschools, and vocational training courses.
Provincial and private educational institutions of the first and second cycle will start classes on Monday, September 9, 2024, and end on Thursday, June 12, 2025. As for vocational training, the provincial and private training institutions determine the temporal organization of classes, including suspensions of educational activities, with the only constraint being the start date of classes set for Monday, September 9.
Preschools, both provincial and equivalent, will start their educational activities on Wednesday, September 4. The end of classes is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025. It is important to note that the continuation of activities in July may be reviewed based on the progress of the school year, educational planning, and family requests.
As for periods of suspension of educational activities, for provincial and private educational institutions, there will be interruptions on all Sundays; from October 31 to November 2 (All Saints’ Day); from December 23 to January 6 (Christmas holidays); from March 3 to March 5 (Carnival holidays); from April 18 to April 26 (Easter holidays and Liberation anniversary); from May 1 to May 3 (Labor Day); June 2 (Republic Day).
For preschools, the periods of suspension of educational activities include all Saturdays and Sundays; from October 31 to November 1 (All Saints’ Day); from December 23 to January 6 (Christmas holidays); from March 3 to March 5 (Carnival holidays); from April 18 to April 25 (Easter holidays and Liberation anniversary); from May 1 to May 2 (Labor Day); June 2 (Republic Day); August 15 (Assumption Day) for schools with a special/tourist calendar.
As for vocational training courses, classes will start on Monday, September 9. Provincial and private training institutions will determine the temporal organization of classes, including suspensions of educational activities, in compliance with the duration of the courses and the prescribed educational regulations.
Finally, the school transportation service will be provided for preschools during their opening period and for educational institutions from Monday, September 9, 2024, to Thursday, June 12, 2025.
