On Friday, April 12th at 8:30 PM, an important awareness event on the topic of energy transition will take place in the former Monte Pietà Palace in San Felice del Benaco. The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of San Felice del Benaco and the IG Passivehaus Lombardia Association. Titled “Seeds of Sustainability,” the main objective of the event is to inform and involve citizens and local communities in this crucial field.
The IG Passivehaus Lombardia Association is a non-profit organization made up of designers and builders of passive houses throughout Lombardy. The association is dedicated to promoting knowledge and application of the principles of passive housing and bio-construction, following the guidelines established by the Passivhaus Institut in Darmstadt, where the concept of passive buildings originated in the 1990s.
The event program includes various segments. It will begin with the opening and official greetings by the municipal administration, introducing the guests and setting the context of the meeting. Following that, Alessandro Merigo, the president of the IG Passivehaus Lombardia Association, will present the history of the association, highlighting its commitment to promoting passive houses.
Giuseppe Franco will then discuss the current energy situation, emphasizing the importance and benefits of passive houses in this context. Lastly, Ettore Pedrini will share some case histories and projects of passive building constructions, offering a concrete picture of what can be achieved in the field of bio-construction and passive houses.
The event will conclude with a debate, where participants can discuss and draw conclusions on the topics covered, encouraging greater awareness of energy transition and the importance of passive housing.
