The festival will continue until mid-September with numerous additional events. One of the most anticipated is the initiative “Sciame di burattini su tre ruote e un’Ape” (Swarm of puppets on three wheels and a Vespa), which will cross the streets of the historic center on Monday evenings (August 19th and 26th; September 2nd and 9th) at Parco Don Lino Zorzi. Here too, the events will be curated by the Centro Teatrale Corniani.
In addition to the main events, additional workshops and shows are planned:
– On July 31st, at the Lungolago di Lugana, there will be a workshop at 4:30 pm followed by a show at 6:00 pm.
– On August 27th, also at the Lungolago di Lugana, the same schedule with an afternoon workshop and an evening show will be repeated.
This festival not only celebrates its 25th anniversary but also coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Centro Teatrale Corniani. The Corniani family is known for its long tradition in the world of puppets and is committed to keeping this art alive through innovations aimed at the new generations.
With twenty-five years behind it, Sirmione in Scena continues to be one of the most beloved cultural events on Lake Garda, capable of attracting both children and adults eager to relive or discover the timeless magic of puppet theater.
