Two men, aged 41 and 31, were arrested in Sirmione on August 9, 2024, while attempting to steal two electric bicycles belonging to a German tourist. The carabinieri, during a patrol in the streets adjacent to the historic center, noticed the two individuals trying to break a lock that held the bicycles together.
After apprehending the suspects and conducting a search, the officers found two pliers presumably used for the theft. The arrested men were held in the security rooms of the Desenzano del Garda Company awaiting a direct trial, which resulted in their preventive detention in prison. The bicycles, valued at over 5,000 euros in total, were returned to their rightful owner.
