A stabbing incident that occurred in Pescantina has led to the arrest of a 20-year-old, who is accused of attempted murder. The incident took place on January 25 during a violent family argument that arose from a dispute over kitchen cleanliness. The Carabinieri intervened after a call to emergency services and found the victim, a 57-year-old lawyer, lying on the ground with a serious back injury. The young man was attempting to assist him using a kitchen cloth to stop the bleeding.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the father was urgently transported to the Borgo Trento hospital in Verona, where he underwent surgery and is currently in critical condition. Investigators discovered the knife used in the attack in the son’s room and proceeded to arrest the young man for aggravated assault. Subsequently, the Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered further investigations for attempted murder, leading the investigating judge to validate the arrest and impose precautionary measures against the 20-year-old.
