Starting from Monday, May 20th, the northern section of Via Monte Oro in Riva del Garda will be closed to traffic to allow for the construction of the Garda Cycle Path. This project aims to create a bike path that will cross the city, improving sustainable mobility and promoting the use of bicycles.
With the start of construction, the road will be closed in the south-north direction between the roundabout and the intersection with Via Lavino, towards Largo Marconi and the Church of the Inviolata. Traffic will be redirected to the tunnel of the new bypass, a measure already in place for non-residents.
Alternative routes will remain accessible: one can use Via Bastione-Viale Prati or Via Lavino Nord towards Via Ardaro. However, it is important to note that once the construction is completed, half of the road affected by the intervention on Via Monte Oro will no longer be accessible to cars as it will be occupied by the new cycle path.
