The charming Desenzano del Garda Castle is ready to welcome a summer full of events with the “Teatro al Castello” festival. Renowned names from the national artistic scene will animate the evenings, offering performances ranging from comedy to music. The Councilor for Culture, Pietro Avanzi, emphasized how this initiative fits into an already established artistic and event context for the city.
The theater season will kick off on Saturday, June 1st, with the irreverent show “Guai a chi ruba!” by the Legnanesi, which has already sold out. This theater group, known for its biting comedy and ability to tackle current issues with irony, has become a fixed and anticipated appointment for the audience.
A special event is scheduled for Friday, June 28th: “La sera dei miracoli,” a concert dedicated to the great Bolognese singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla. Lorenzo Campani, known for his roles in Riccardo Cocciante’s “Notre-Dame de Paris,” will pay tribute to the artist with a performance that promises to move the audience.
On Sunday, July 7th, satire will take the stage with Giuseppe Cruciani and his show “Via Crux, tutto quello che pensate e non avete il coraggio di dire” (Via Crux, everything you think but don’t have the courage to say). Known for his contrarian and provocative opinions, Cruciani will offer a critical look at the contradictions of contemporary society.
The following Friday, July 12th, Giovanni Scifoni will take the stage with the show “Fra’ San Francesco, la superstar del Medioevo” (Friar San Francesco, the superstar of the Middle Ages). In this performance, the actor presents a popular vision of the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi, mixing sacred and profane elements.
Closing the festival will be Luca Bizzarri on July 26th with “Non hanno un amico” (They Don’t Have a Friend). The Ligurian comedian will bring his wit and irony to the stage to make the audience reflect on personal weaknesses and prejudices through intelligent laughter.
Councilor Pietro Avanzi stated, “This program fits into an already established context for Desenzano del Garda, made up of prestigious artistic events, major events ranging from sports to culture, and national and international guests. I am pleased to have given this identity to the town and I intend to continue on this path.”
