Between February 22 and March 9, 2025, the financial police of the Provincial Command of Trento implemented a targeted tax control plan in ski areas, uncovering 13 illegal ski instructors. During the inspections, 30 tax violations were also identified due to the failure to electronically transmit sales data, along with 20 commercial establishments not in compliance with the payment of the Rai fee. The checks involved 47 businesses, leading to the discovery of 13 workers employed “under the table”.
The patrols of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza identified the illegal instructors, all foreign nationals, who were operating without the necessary provincial qualification. Among them, 8 were from the Czech Republic and were found in Pinzolo and Monte Bondone, while others came from Belgium, Poland, and Romania. For each, an administrative fine ranging from 200 to 600 euros was imposed. At the same time, checks were intensified in the bars and lodges on the slopes to ensure compliance with tax and contribution regulations, highlighting the importance of citizens’ cooperation in reporting irregularities.
