Starting from July 10th, traffic on the SS45bis Gardesana Occidentale road will undergo some temporary changes. In order to carry out investigations on the coating structures of the Orione tunnel, alternating one-way traffic will be in place from 10 PM to 6 AM until July 19th.
These interventions are necessary to finalize the project for Unit 2 of the Garda Cycle Path, which will extend from the Orione tunnel to the mouth of the Ponale. During the nighttime hours when the investigations are taking place, overtaking will be prohibited and a maximum speed limit of 40 kilometers per hour will be enforced.
The decision to carry out the work during the night was made to minimize the impact on traffic. During the daytime, from 6 AM to 10 PM, as well as on Saturdays and holidays, traffic will return to normal.
The main objective of these operations is to ensure the safety and efficiency of future cycling infrastructure, which is essential for the sustainable development of mobility in the Lake Garda area.
