The SP38 “Tignalga” provincial road, a vital connection between the municipalities of Tignale and Tremosine, has been reopened this morning, but only until tomorrow. This road, closed since last October due to a landslide, will be temporarily accessible to alleviate the inconvenience for residents.
The closure of SP38 has caused significant difficulties for the inhabitants of the two locations. Being the only inland route between Tignale and Tremosine, its inaccessibility has significantly complicated daily mobility. The Province of Brescia has therefore decided to reopen the road from 5:30 PM until 8 AM the next day during the last week of closure.
The closure of SP38 is not an isolated case in the area. The Forra road has also been closed since mid-December due to a landslide, further aggravating the difficulties for residents. For the inhabitants of the 17 Tremosine hamlets, with the only hamlet on the lake being Campione, the only alternative southward is the longer route along SP115, which descends from Vesio to Limone sul Garda.
Local authorities are working intensively to resolve these infrastructure problems and ensure safe and continuous traffic flow. The mayors of the municipalities involved have expressed concern about the impact on the local community and are calling for rapid and decisive interventions.
