The passage of the famous car race “1000 Miglia” through the Riviera della Valtenesi was officially presented on May 14th on Isola del Garda, in San Felice del Benaco. The event was attended by the municipal administrations of Padenghe sul Garda, Moniga del Garda, Manerba del Garda, and San Felice del Benaco.
The initiative represents a significant moment of collaboration between the local administrations, with the aim of promoting and enhancing a territory rich in natural and cultural beauty. The mayors of the involved municipalities actively participated in the presentation together with Giuseppe Cherubini from the Operational Committee of 1000 Miglia.
The 1000 Miglia 2024 will pass through Valtenesi on Saturday, June 15th, after passing through Sirmione and Desenzano, arriving around 9 am. The race will then continue towards Salò and finally head to Brescia. This event will offer five hours of unique motor spectacle.
In Manerba del Garda, there will be an official stamp control for the participating cars. This will allow the public to admire the beautiful vintage cars up close in a suggestive and engaging atmosphere.
The event also marked the introduction of the new brand “La Riviera della Valtenesi,” the result of an unprecedented collaboration between the four involved municipalities. This brand aims to promote the territory as a unique tourist destination, capable of thrilling visitors in every season of the year with its natural, historical, and gastronomic beauties.
The main event will be accompanied by three days of collateral events from June 14th to 16th in the Valtenesi area. These will include cultural, gastronomic, and entertainment experiences that will allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the Riviera del Garda.
The 2024 edition will start from Brescia on Tuesday, June 11th, and will pass through several Italian cities before reaching Lake Garda on the final day. After touching Ferrara and Mantova, the race will pass through Valtenesi and Salò, concluding with the traditional parade on Viale Venezia in Brescia.
