Open-top cars have always had a special charm, a romantic appeal rooted in the history of automotive. In Montichiari, from April 12th to 14th, 2024, this passion is celebrated with “Spider e Cabriolet”, the trade show dedicated to these vehicles, now in its third edition. The event will take place at the Montichiari Exhibition Center (BS), covering an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters, where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a world of elegance and technology, admiring both vintage cars and modern models.
The exhibition goes beyond showcasing cars; its program includes meetings, exclusive presentations, and talk shows. Among the special guests, Miki Biasion stands out, the world rally champion with the Lancia Delta. The event’s foyer will host vintage-inspired concept cars, such as the berlinette and a spider by the Frigerio brothers, showcasing Italian craftsmanship. The body of the Ferrari 330 P3-P4, an example of the mastery of Modena coachbuilders, will also be on display.
The 2024 edition will pay tribute to Ayrton Senna, thirty years after his passing, with an exhibition of memorabilia and artworks dedicated to the Brazilian champion. The Renault Clio Williams from the Dalmazzini collection, created to celebrate the constructor’s championship won in Formula 1 in 1992, will be one of the highlights of the exhibition.
“Spider e Cabriolet” will offer a wide range of cars, from timeless classics to the latest models. Vehicles like the Effeffe Berlinetta, a modern reinterpretation of cars from the 1950s, will capture the attention of enthusiasts. Similarly, the Bugatti EB 110, presented in Paris in 1991 by Alain Delon, will be another star of the event.
The program includes book presentations such as “Fiat Coupé e Barchetta” by Ivan Scelsa and “Alfa Romeo automobili per passione” curated by Daniele Buzzonetti. The documentary film “Imola 70”, which tells the story of the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack, will also be screened.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving a Formula 1 car with the professional simulators from FORMULA SPEED. The entrance ticket costs 10 euros, with free parking. The organization is managed by the Montichiari Exhibition Center and Vision up consulting by Mauro Battaglia, with the support of local institutions.
