The Civica Salò party has presented its group ahead of the municipal elections in June. The mayoral candidate is Francesco Cagnini, a 28-year-old law graduate who currently works as an official for a trade association. The list was created by a group of citizens from Salò with the aim of involving people and sparking a debate on ideas for the future of Salò.
The council candidates that make up the list are Andrea Battani, Sante Bertoletti, Marta Cavedaghi, Tommaso Cigognetti, Alberto Comini, Tiberio Evoli, Roberta Ghirardi, Luca Lazzarini, Libero Loi, Francesca Magis, Marcella Merigo, Roberto Novelli, Claudia Pelizzari, Maristella Tortelotti, Fabiana Vanzani, and Domenico Varini.
The key proposals of the list include a greater focus on citizens and the social community. They aim to revitalize personal services and take care of the territory, with a focus on the outskirts and villages. The list’s program also includes a balance between a city designed for tourists and one for residents. They plan to address mobility and road infrastructure, as well as enhance green spaces, beaches, and the hinterland. Attention will also be given to security through collaboration between institutions and organizations operating in the area.
Civica Salò looks to the new forms of trekking tourism and aims to destagionalize tourist flows. Culture and education are important topics, with a particular interest in the new building of the D’Annunzio Middle School, the revival of MUSA (Museum of Salò), and the management of the Theater. Attention will also be given to policies for young people and housing.
Francesco Cagnini emphasizes the importance of overcoming personalism and bringing together the best energy and skills to shape the future of Salò. The Civica Salò list represents a civic alternative that aims to bring new ideas and projects for the benefit of the city.
