On Sunday, April 21st, the third edition of the Giacomo Sartori Memorial will take place. This amateur burraco tournament will be held in the public hall dedicated to Giacomo Sartori, located in Piazza della Mimosa in Riva del Garda.
Giacomo Sartori was a founding member of the Vivirione association and its first president. He played a significant role in the Due Giugno district, actively working to promote social integration in the neighborhood. He organized numerous events and involved people of different ages, nationalities, and cultures, from children and families to the elderly. He was a charismatic person, capable of engaging others and organizing successfully. He gave a lot to his community, and his memory is still alive.
Among his many initiatives was the creation of the Vivirione association, which has grown and developed over time while maintaining a strong connection with the social fabric and its people.
In 2022, seven years after the inauguration of the public hall dedicated to him by the Municipality of Riva del Garda, the board and volunteers who carry on Giacomo Sartori’s ideas and projects wanted to dedicate this edition of the burraco tournament to him as a sign of affection and gratitude. The goal of the tournament is to involve the entire neighborhood in a moment of sharing and play, following Giacomo Sartori’s example. This year will be the third edition.
The program includes registration at 2:00 PM, the start of the tournament at 2:30 PM, the end of the tournament at 6:30 PM, and finally, a social dinner at 7:00 PM.
