A paragliding accident occurred on the afternoon of Monday, December 30, in Toscolano Maderno, where two German individuals, a man and a woman, fell during a faulty takeoff. The incident took place in the Prade area, at an altitude of 1,440 meters, along the steep slope of Pizzocolo. The woman sustained a knee fracture and several bruises as a result of the fall.
The Valle Sabbia station of the Mountain Rescue was immediately activated, and six technicians from CNSAS reached the scene of the accident to provide assistance. The Brescia air rescue unit of AREU (Regional Emergency and Urgency Agency) and an ambulance also responded to ensure the safe transport of the injured.
