A **28-year-old Albanian** man is accused of **aggravated sexual violence** against a girl from Brescia, in a case that has garnered significant attention in Toscolano. The preliminary investigations judge, Mauro Liberti, has accepted the request for **immediate trial**, setting the first hearing for January 16, 2025. The events date back to last July, when the victim, after an evening spent between **drugs and alcohol**, was allegedly assaulted in the defendant’s home.
The assault reportedly took place on July 7 around three in the morning, after the 28-year-old allegedly gave the young woman another drink, causing her to lose consciousness. Upon waking up, the girl found the man abusing her and, managing to break free, fled while calling for help. Her screams attracted the attention of a passerby who alerted the carabinieri. The Albanian, who initially fled the scene, was later located and arrested. Since then, he has been in jail awaiting trial.
