Desenzano concludes a year of growth for tourism, with data up to mid-November showing a total of 1,129,921 overnight stays and revenues exceeding 2 million euros, already surpassing the results of 2023. Approximately 400,000 visitors were recorded in Desenzano, with hotel establishments accounting for 431,000 overnight stays (43.67% of the total), generating over 1.8 million euros in revenue, while the non-hotel sector achieved more than 311,000 overnight stays, contributing over 600,000 euros.
The Tourism Councillor, Stefania Lorenzoni, highlighted the importance of the strategy adopted by the local administration, which includes investments to enhance the language skills of operators and improve signage on cycling routes. Emanuele Bonotto, president of Visit Desenzano, emphasized how well-managed tourism can benefit both visitors and the local community, stressing the need to improve connections with airports and promote a unified Garda brand through collaborations with surrounding regions.
