Tourist bookings on Lake Garda are experiencing a significant increase, with an approximate growth of 11% in 2024 compared to the previous year, and forecasts indicating an additional 20% rise for 2025. These figures, gathered from the booking platform Booking.com, highlight the positive trend in tourist flows in the Garda area. During a recent meeting in Desenzano, Vincenzo Telese, account manager at Booking, presented a detailed overview of visitor numbers over the past three years, emphasizing that Sirmione and Riva remain the most sought-after destinations.
Furthermore, the summer season of 2025 looks particularly promising, with peaks expected in April due to the Easter holidays and the May 1st long weekend. Tourists continue to favor the months of July and August, while there is a noticeable growing interest in lesser-known destinations. Locations such as Limone and Desenzano are poised to benefit significantly from this upward trend. The resurgence of German travelers, along with the arrival of visitors from the United Kingdom and Poland, further contributes to the growth of tourism in the region.
