Recently, over 70% of the National Identification Codes (CIN) have been issued for registered establishments in Lombardy, marking a significant achievement for the Lake Garda tourism sector. The regional tourism assessor, Barbara Mazzali, emphasized the importance of this initiative, which aims to ensure transparency in accommodation facilities and combat the underground economy in the sector. At the national level, more than 549,900 establishments have been registered, and over 385,000 CINs have been assigned, demonstrating the effectiveness of the implemented system.
Furthermore, a new automatic CIN issuance system has been activated for establishments that have reported the designation “structure not found,” thereby streamlining the process for operators. This step is part of a broader context of regularization and enhancement of local tourism activities, with the goal of promoting increasingly sustainable and responsible tourism. Operators are encouraged to complete their registration with regional applications to obtain the CIN and thus contribute to the growth of a transparent and competitive hospitality sector.
