In Bardolino, the tourist safety objective for the summer season has been enhanced with the introduction of night patrols, active from April 18 to October 7. Thanks to an agreement with Security Verona srl, the patrols will monitor the area on weekends from 10 PM to 3 AM, extending the hours to 4 AM during peak months. Each shift will include at least two patrol officers, supported by additional colleagues when necessary. Furthermore, the local police force has been strengthened with four new seasonal officers starting from April 10, ensuring continuous monitoring in the town center and surrounding areas.
The municipality has also implemented stricter controls on illegal parking by hiring three inspectors equipped with handheld devices and electric bicycles. These measures are complemented by the installation of digital parking meters and license plate readers in paid parking areas to streamline operations and deter violations. Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized that these initiatives are crucial for managing the expected influx of tourists in the coming months, alongside a new surveillance system that will be gradually activated.
