Gargnano: An Accident Paralyzes New Year’s Traffic Along the Western Gardesana. The first day of the year brought significant traffic disruptions for drivers in the Brescia area of Lake Garda, with thousands of vehicles lined up due to a road accident that occurred in the afternoon, just before 4 PM, inside one of the tunnels between Gargnano and Tignale on the Western Gardesana (ss45bis). The collision involved a car and a camper, with four individuals aged between 60 and 70 involved; fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
The accident caused significant traffic jams along the entire shoreline, generating numerous reports on social media regarding the difficulties of navigating the area. The long waits contributed to an intense traffic situation, resulting in extremely lengthy travel times for those passing through.
