Tragedy struck in Bardolino, where Mihaela Alexandra Harsan, a 26-year-old woman, died after being hit by a car while crossing the street on October 19. The incident occurred on Via Marconi around 11:30 PM as she was returning home from work. The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to offer assistance and fled the scene. Harsan was rushed to Verona Borgo Trento Hospital, where she remained in intensive care for five days before doctors declared her brain dead.
The young woman, originally from Romania and living in Italy for three years, worked as a bartender in the historic center of Bardolino. Her family, who traveled from Romania to be by her side, endured days filled with anguish and hope for a possible miracle. Harsan was known for her sunny personality and dedication to her job; she now leaves an irreplaceable void among friends and family.
