A tragic event shook the community of Volta Mantovana on Saturday, June 22nd. Piercarlo Salami, a 68-year-old man from Rivarolo Mantovano, died as a result of a motorcycle accident during a trip with friends on Lake Garda.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred along the SP19 road. Salami lost control of his motorcycle and ended up violently in the ditch next to the road. One of his friends, concerned about not seeing him arrive, went back to check what had happened and alerted the authorities.
Despite the immediate call for help from his travel companions, when the paramedics arrived at the scene, they could only confirm his death. The exact details of the accident are still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
