The Strada della Forra Association has collected over 15,000 signatures in two weeks to urge the reopening of the scenic road in Tremosine, which has been closed since December 15th. The association’s president, Alberto Giuntelli, denounces the inaction of local administrations and the waste of public money, emphasizing that the prolonged monitoring of the alleged movements in the tunnel has yet to produce concrete results. This delay is seriously damaging the local economy.
In response to the lack of official information, the association has contacted external geologists to get a clearer picture of the situation. However, the necessary data has not been made available by the competent authorities. Furthermore, the recent reopening of the scenic stretch with guided tours has raised further criticism: the canyon walls are not up to standard despite a previous long closure for safety work. The association is considering reporting the opaque management of the situation, which deeply affects the local community, to the judiciary.
