In the ranking of the 20 most beautiful villages in Italy, compiled by Istat, two Lombard towns stand out for their beauty and popularity. Tremosine sul Garda ranks eighth, while Gardone Riviera comes in thirteenth place.
According to the data presented during the 24th National Assembly of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, the top 20 tourist villages in Italy attract 53.4% of the total visitors, equivalent to about 10 million tourists. Tremosine sul Garda, with 349,958 tourist arrivals, ranks eighth, while Gardone Riviera comes in thirteenth with 246,890 arrivals.
Barbara Mazzali, the Lombardy Regional Councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, and Fashion, expressed satisfaction with the results achieved by the two Lombard towns. She commented that these results demonstrate how Lombardy is an important reference point for tourism related to villages, which is constantly growing. Mazzali highlighted that Tremosine sul Garda is an enchanting location situated between the lake and the sky, attracting thousands of tourists every year with its breathtaking views from numerous panoramic terraces, the majesty of the Strada della Forra, and the natural richness of the hinterland.
The Councilor also emphasized the fundamental contribution made by local operators, including the regional infopoint managed by the local Pro Loco, which tirelessly promotes this beautiful location through various online and offline channels, in collaboration with the InLombardia portal.
There is also great pride for Gardone Riviera. In addition to the famous Vittoriale degli Italiani, a monumental complex commissioned by the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio in the 1920s, visitors are once again captivated by the spectacular Lake Garda.
