In Tremosine, work has begun on the safety enhancement of the Strada della Forra along the SP 38, with the aim of reopening the stretch by Easter. The road has been closed since December 23, 2023, due to a landslide that affected the tunnel. The interventions include a second blasting of a hazardous rock mass and stabilization efforts both inside the tunnel and on the surrounding cliff. The Province of Brescia has coordinated these activities, involving various local entities and industry professionals.
During a recent meeting, the president of the Province, Emanuele Moraschini, along with other representatives, discussed the timeline for the planned interventions, aimed at ensuring the safety of the route. Weekly inspections will continue to monitor the condition of the tunnel and surrounding structures. The next update is scheduled for March 7, when a specific date for the reopening of the one-way road, crucial for supporting local tourism activities, is expected to be announced.
