Tremosine welcomes the new parish priest, Don Giorgio Tonolini, who takes over from Don Ruggero Chesini, who has served since 2013. Originally from the parish of Serle and ordained in 2015, Don Giorgio comes from Virle Treponti, where he held the position of parish vicar. In his new mission, he will be responsible for the parishes of San Giovanni Battista in Pieve, Saints Bernardo and Martino in Sermerio, San Bartolomeo in Vesio, and San Lorenzo in Voltino.
To celebrate the arrival of the new parish priest, the local communities have organized a series of events. On Saturday, January 11, there will be an official welcome in Voltino at 3:30 PM with the Tremosine Band, followed by the entrance rites in Vesio at 4:30 PM and a communal dinner at 7 PM at the multipurpose hall. On Sunday, January 12, two welcome masses are scheduled: one at 10 AM with the community of Voltino and another at 3 PM with the community of Pieve. The cycle of celebrations will conclude on Sunday, January 19, with an additional mass in Sermerio. These events represent an important parish welcome for the new priest within the vibrant local community.
