On April 12, 2025, Trento hosted the inauguration of the exhibition “The Adventure of Money: From Gold to Digital,” attended by the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta. The event took place at the Caritro Foundation and served as a preview for the Economy Festival, scheduled for May 22 to 25. The exhibition, created in collaboration with Trentino Marketing, offers a multimedia journey that explores the historical evolution of money and innovations in digital payments, also showcasing installations from the future Museum of Money of the Bank of Italy.
The inauguration was attended by numerous local authorities and students from the Pilati Technical Institute in Cles, who cut the ribbon to open the exhibition. This initiative aims to promote financial literacy among young people and will run until June 6, 2025, offering educational activities for students and adults alike. The exhibition represents an important part of the celebrations for the twentieth anniversary of the Trento Economy Festival, which this year focuses on the themes of risks and fateful choices in Europe.
