Moniga del Garda will host the second edition of “Truffles Under the Stars” on August 23rd and 24th, an event dedicated to celebrating the truffle of Valtenesi. Organized by the Municipality, the Pro Loco, and the Tartufai Association of Valtenesi, the initiative aims to promote the prized local tubers, such as Tuber Aestivum and the fine black truffle, which can fetch high prices in the market. The event will take place in Piazza San Martino, featuring a gourmet dinner outdoors and food stalls offering truffle-based dishes.
In addition to gastronomy, the event will also include a truffle hunting competition with dogs from all over Italy, enhancing the experience for enthusiasts of this precious fungus. With over 1,500 attendees recorded at last year’s edition, “Truffles Under the Stars” aims to become a must-attend event of the summer season in the Lake Garda area.
