Today, September 19, a meeting took place at the headquarters of the Mountain Community of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park between Anas and the Province of Brescia to discuss the Gargnano-Tignale bypass tunnel project. Regional Councillor Claudia Terzi confirmed that funding and permits are in place, with the project expected to be ready for bidding in 2025, provided that final authorization is obtained from the Ministry of the Environment (Mase). This project aims to replace the three old tunnels north of Gargnano and improve traffic flow in the region.
The project development began in 2016 and has already passed significant bureaucratic phases, including the approval of the feasibility project and a positive assessment from the Higher Council of Public Works. Currently, the unique provision from Mase is awaited to convene a new Conference of Services, which is necessary to update and finalize the project approval. Regional Councillor Claudia Carzeri emphasized the importance of adhering to the timelines to initiate construction by 2025, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the competent authorities in monitoring the project.
